The Wiley Family Charitable Trust, a Charitable Remainder Unitrust, created in 1994 by Coain Wiley and his wife Jacquelyn M. Wiley , named the Solano Community Foundation as the sole remaindermen. Their two daughters, Meredith ("Robin") Bradley, and Phyllis Reguera were named as the trustees upon their passing, and ensured distribution was accomplished according to their parents wishes.
Coain Wiley, a 53-year resident of Solano County, passed away in Vacaville in April of 2009 at the age of 85. Mr. Wiley was born in Haleyville, Alabama, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He was the owner/operator of Fairfield Auto Wreckers for over 30 years and a 50-year member of the Benevolent Order of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and working.
His wife Jacquelyn "Jackie" Wiley, recently passed away in Vacaville in July 2013 at the age of 87. The Wileys instructed that their remainder gift be held in a permanent, segregated account, and be used to fund a charitable project of The Solano Community Foundation. The named charitable project of the Foundation is the Nonprofit Partnership Program (NPP). Each year, a small grant will be made from the Wiley Fund in honor of Coain and Jacquelyn Wiley to help support NPP. As the Wiley's Fund grows, the size of the annual grant will increase, and their generosity will help support the needs of those we serve, in perpetuity.
